more about the crazy person behind made for nanny and the small group that supports it!

this is nanny.

made for nanny is named after my grandmother. she was a renowned baker on vancouver island, and an even better woman. she was and continues to be a huge inspiration for me. nanny has unfortunately passed, and this company is made to honour her. she was creative, hard working, almost a bit too kind, and always had a plate of food and a place to stay for anyone who needed it. i, as well as my silly little candle company, strive to be the same.

nanny wouldn't be possible without the outpouring of support we've gotten from the community and my family and friends. the fish tins are recycled from a wonderful east vancouver restaurant, the wax and scents are sourced from a canadian brand, and i pour the candles in my own home. nanny has only been made possible with the love of my pets, marlo, tom, and hogarth, and my love, jay. nanny's original graphics were done by @sillyrabbitplaygrounds on instagram. thank you jana, i love you. our artwork is done by @patchwuzhereinc on instagram, a very talented and creative close family friend. and the merch and stickers are done by @palsprintlab, a local shop here in east vancouver. and lastly, the customers. i never thought this little candle company would be anything more than gifts for a few friends. and now it feels like it's all i'm ever thinking about.
